Default Car Security.

I know some people don't believe in alarms or what not. I really wanted remote start but my car sits in the garage most of the time. But sometimes I have to stay in the city and I'd like to have some sort of security(even though it'* pointless now-a-days).

Is there anything that would be a 2 way system that would alert me when someone is around my car for a certain amount of time? Also what are some good brands//models to look into.

Links would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

yah i got the viper 791.....if you plan on installing one of these yourself, make sure you have an extra car to go get stuff and a good chunk of time on your hands.

Well you'll definitely need 2 way if you want to know whos in the perimeter of your car, plus you'll need a radar/motion sensor for outside the car. Its gonna be a lot of work, good luck...

Don't forget a VATS module if you are doing remote start.

A Microwave Sensor is what senses activity around the car. The thing that would worry me, is let'* say I am in a parking lot, with the senativity turned all the way up, would the alarm go off if a car parked next to me and opened the door and kids came out?
