alot of sound guys will tell you a good rule of thumb is 1 farad for every 800 - 1000 watts...but to be honest ...i have had a 2 farad cap and my gauge and lights still flickered till i picked up an optima battery....as pat stated before a cap won't always help a system especially if it isn't up to par in the first place.
PS there is a wire upgrade procedure for the chassis electrical...do a search and you should come across it..i did it a long time ago and it helped alot.

The wire upgrade helped me a LOT too. Search for the "Big 3"
a larger alt. and better battery, and wire upgrades should be your first steps.

3) Engine to Chasiscan also directly to the battery if that works out for you because then you upgrade the battery to negative, so it turns out to be the same
