Yeah. the MOST you should need for any conventional system you'd like to hear (for more then 1 min) would be say a JBL 1200.1...

Anything that needs more then that isn't really listenable at levels you need that power. Besides we all know Hi-Fi gear (Home audio) is untouchable by a car. Like say my B&W speakers... Mmm good sound...

Most im thinking about doing to my car is puttin in new rear speakers (or I quess 'subs' sence there over 6'' ) and add my other amp...

my best sytem is in my 69 c/10 (I tore Everything outta that LT 99 silverado!)

B&W'*. Not bad. It'* still amazing what you can do in a car with top shelf gear and the latest technological goodies. Imaging, a decent soundstage, very good tonality and dynamics that'll make you cry. But the home is untouchable. Realizing that a car is probably one of the worst possible places to put an audio system is why I enjoy the challenge of getting it as close to a good home setup. And I'm not far off. It'* only the excrutiating details you just can't realize in a car.
