Default Audio Recommendations

I want to put a system in my car. I have some old 12" Sony Explodes that have never been used. They have just been collecting dust in my house as I switched from car to car. Now with my 92 SSEi I have a factory stereo cassette with built in gain control on a seprate panel. Should I invest in putting a new deck (cd) or should I keep the look of the stock and just go with a trunk mount cd changer ionstead? Any other suggestions welcome I need some advise.

The main thing is how much money are you willing to spend.

Well I just got a promotion so I could probly drop a little less than a grand into it over the period of 2 or 3 months. I was told that I should just keep the factory deck in and just pop in a trunk mount cd changer. Plus an amp and my subs I have already should sound dcent. I dont want to bump it to much so people will try staling my **** but yeah.

Maybe you could run a FM modulating CD changer, and have it'* output go into an amplifier?

Well then the radio stations won't go thru it... Unless you wire those up to the high output.

there is a reason sony amp and subs are cheap............cuz they are cheap. poor sound quality and amps are not worth it. sony subs and amps are just for show but yah they do a poor job. sony es is good tho but not as easy to find as the other crap.
