Anyone in the area - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

I just did the same install on my 02 Bonneville. Send me a PM and I can give you some pointers. If you're still stuck.. I may be flying up that way this week, it would cost you a beer for the install

How comfortable do you feel with a small hacksaw? Also, you have the GMRC04 with the chime module correct?

I had to cut out the side pocket where the head unit goes to put the module in...as well as the back wall where the databus adapter is.. the space in there is very tight and the deck stuck out about an inch too far.

that is dependant on the style of adapter plate and the dimentions of the head unit, i didnt have to cut mine, but my adapter put the radio at the top of the opening
