well since i replaced my cd player with an aftermarket one my steering wheel controls are worthless, any ideas on what to do with em so they dont look stupid. i was thinkin bout painting over em but i need some more ideas.

If your head unit has a remote you can utilize that to make the controls work, you'd have to ask someone else the specifics on how to do that.

Get a wheel from a GP that does not have the controls?

Or get a steering wheel from a Bonneville SE without the controls.

Will it have the leather? I have seen GP GTs w/o controls and leather.
