Well I don't want to let any shops install the unit because I want to be able to have it on (and playing movies) while i'm driving. Anyone have any instructions on how to install the thing on my own??

Ya there alomst the same as installing a regualr aftermarket cd player, ive got the pioneer dvd in my car and it wasnt to hard to install, with pioneer in order to have a divd playing while drinving it must be installed with the parking brake and reverse sensor wire, i just ground mine out with a toggle switch and and the park brake wire, i dont drive with it on beacuse i really dont feel like smashing up the ole bonny, check out any car audio forums and you might be able to find something, all the new dvd in dash stuff coming out has a built in gyro meter which will sense if your car is moving and so fourth!

Really? That kinda sucks. I suppose it will only be a matter of time before someone figures out a way to bypass that though.

From what ive heard its like a ball bearing inside a spray paint can same idea i think, youd probably have to go internaly into the unit and stop that ball from moving with something. Oh well time will tell
