Default aftermarket hu insstall for 2002 sle

I need help ya'll. I want to install an aftermarket cd player. I don't want to lose any of my special options like ON STAR. I've gone to many different mobile electronic stores and I keep getting different prices on different wiring harnesses for my 2002 sle. I'm very skeptical and I don't want to buy the wrong wiring kit, cause if it doesn't work I cant return it. I'm not about to be boned for my money by letting them install it, cause I do all of my own work. So, if there is anyone that can help me with a wiring kit part number or something, I would greatly appreciate it.

I know that at one time there was talk of a wiring adapter that retained ALL features, including on-star, abd IIRC it was around $120 for the wiring kit alone. I did some poking around, but i could not find anything.. I will do some more looking and see what i can dig up

this is what i dug up from another thread ( http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ht=2000+onstar )

This is said to work, and retain on-star in another members GXP, which means it should work for you aswell

As the previous link describes...I use the Axxess GMOS-05 to integrate my head unit.

This unit will retain databus integrity, integrate OnStar, create a 2A accessory power output and output door chime through the front speaker leads. It will not retain HUD radio information (nothing will), steering wheel controls will require its own integration piece, and WILL NOT work with Bose or Monsoon amps. The amp must be bypassed if the vehicle is so equiped and the speakers replaced if being powered soley by the head unit (OEM Bose and Monsoon speakers are 2ohm).
