mono amp ideas
Hey gang, I am looking at revamping my sub system in my 02 Bonny. Right now I am running a punch 500a2. I have one Infinity 12 DVC with the selectable impedance of either 2 or 4 ohms. I am gonna get another one this summer, and I was thinking also of getting a new sub amp to run them.
You guys got any ideas?? I'd like to have some input other than my own.
The punch amp I am using now works fine I was just sorta looking into something a little more up to date.
Ideas are welcome and appreciated,
Tim

check out mtx'* 1501D! I have one pushing my 15'* and its almost painful... very power hungry though. I guess my first two questions should be what'* your budget? how much power do you want?

I was originally wanting something that can put out 500-600 watts while staying in the 4 ohm impedance. But I don't think I'll be able to get that though, as those amps are quite pricy.
Budget wise I am like everyone else I want to get away as cheap as possible while still getting the best product.
Any suggestions,
Tim

The main reason I was wantin to stay at 4 ohms is reliablity. I figured at 4 ohm it would stay cooler and work longer. This is probably gonna be my last rebuild??? And I would like it to be the most reliable.
Any suggetions
