coming from a Rockford guy, with your price range I would consider the P152S or the T152s.

with the P'* you get one woofer then 2 sets of tweets
with the T'* you get one woofer then 1 set of tweets

this is for the P

More Tweeter'* aren't better. Using Matched ones in differen't locations will cause different response. A tweeter on the dash will sound completely different from one in a kick panel.

Optimally you want to run as few drivers per channel as possible, to create the best sound stage. With proper speaker location in a home, a Stereo setup (2 channels) can do very convincing surround, and won't need a center speaker for dialog.

Then again sound stages in cars aren't exactly the best either. Being in a box doesn't help much..

There are people who buy whatever they want as long as it just sounds better than stock (or possible damaged) components.

Take me. I bought a 1000 watt amp I'd never heard of because the RMS was almost equal to the Pioneer subs that I was getting and it looked cool. Chrome with a blue lit ammeter (not that anyone is in the trunk watching it. It was a good price and looks flashy when I open the trunk. My 300 watt RF amp for the 6x9'* isn't really flashy, but makes great sound. It is more or less hidden from view.

A couple of you guys sure push hard on these components that I've never heard of. If they are so good, why haven't I heard of them? No, I'm not asking for answers. I'm asking for you to understand that sometimes you just gotta let people do what they are gonna do and not make snide little "holier than thou" comments.

After dinner, I'm gonna ax several of these posts.

hey guys! I don't know if this helps or not, but I bought the cdt-cl61a'* and the stagefront tweeters(they're in the a-pillar). The stagefront was only $100 and the door comps=$150. Sounds great to me.

I think that either set will sound about the same, you should probly go with the one that you think looks the best or whichever you think will better serve their purpose
