well my back speaker has recently cracked in my 92 se and makes a nasty noise im planning to get some after market 6x9'* my question is will i need an amp for them because doesnt the ones i have now have there own amp....(lil black box hanging from inside the trunk) and wat modifying will i have to do so i can fit the new speakers they will prolly be alpine type R'* or Pioneers. also i have an after market cd deck

also i would like to see some aftermarket speaker set ups thanx

you say that you have a SE???? the Delco amplifed system have the amp under the HU and it was never available in the SE package...now the SSE/SSEi have a small box for the compass that is located underneath the rear deck....could you please provide more info

dats odd could possibly the owner before me replaced the back speakers with the ones u say dat come with an amp........or i have been fooled into thinkin i have an se and i really have an sse? more info like wat?

its pretty simple...do you have 2 wires or 4 wires going to your rear speakers?

and for the SE or SSE, where are your Foglights Low and wide on the bumper OR higher and centered?

yes i have an se it has the lights lower and more wider iforgot to check about the wires but i do remember seeing wires coming from black box and into the speakers is dat the amp?

I don't think the non premium sound radios had any amps besides the built in amp.
