Default 2004 Bonnie and Rockford Fosgate

Well, entering my first SPL competition this weekend.

Been slowly working on my audio system.

Currently have 2-12" Punch and 2- RF301M driving them. Rest of car interor is stock, except for the head unit.

I am hoping to get 120'* or higher.

Here is pictures of system

Silver Mistress

I look forward to any questions or comments, especially how to increase SPL, best music for competition or tracks, or any other tricks. A friend is coming over day before comp with a HD IASCA disc with sine curves so we can find the sweet spot for my car.

Thank you,
-Greg

How do you like that head unit? I have looked at those before. Never heard much about them though.

Default Rockford Fosgate headunit

The RF-9210 is doing great. I only have one complaint about it. The bonnie has dual antenna embedded in both the front windsheild and rear window. The radio doesn't allow for this. So I have to either use one or the other. I purchased and installed an aftermarket fm booster and its mounted on front windsheild above/behind review mirror. This doesn't really help either. So I am stuck with staticky reception. Its not too bad, but definately not clear.

Fortunately, I have a mp3 player(Creative Zen:W) not shown, yet,and also I listen to cd'* frequently. So the static is not a big issue. Only time I listen to radio is morning drive to work.

But back to the headunit, the RF-9210 is great. I was skeptical too, but I bought it after RF decided to discontinue making headunits and got a good price. I also took the leap of faith because I LOVE RF and want to ultimately have a complete RF system. RF interior speakers as well as bass.

The Radio has lots of functionality and build quality is just as solid as their amps. The harness is copper, which I thought was interesting and the pre-amp outs are great too.

This radio is made for aftermarket upgrades and options.

the only advice I can give you is, turn on your A/C right before you are getting ready to drop the **** for a little bit and then turn it off (and don't open your door or window when you are in the lane) Its just a little trick that helps the air move a bit better because its colder. Also, if you haven't yet, you may want to consider taking out your rear speakers. I am gonna be competing this summer as well and since I can't drop my back seat, it is an easy way to get more air moving into the cab. Good luck man! Take some pictures and PM me and tell me how everything went. You may be able to help me out this spring

    Default nice

    1993 SLE,

    That looks very sweet!

    Interesting positioning for amps.

I have a question, currently I have the two amps, and am thinking of getting a 3rd amp for the interior speaker upgrade. Probably a 2-channel, 750S or the 450S. This amp will power a pair of 6x9'*, 6.5'* in the door and tweets in the window, just stock replacements.

Now for the question..when do you think or is a upgrade in alternator, battery or getting a 25 Farad Capacitor warranted? Currently my alternator and battery are stock.

    Thanks for input!
