its just a driver. mostly for concert type use. not for bass( as we know it) Its unbeleivable though. I read the article on it not that long ago. I think it can do 160db in open air with a 2ft by 2ft steel plate acting as the "cone".
I've seen footage of it with the plate on Adire web site. I don't know if its still their.

The way I understood it is... it'* not the driver that'* impressive... it'* the motor... I think the motor is dubbed the parthenon. I know there was a huge misunderstanding about this not too long ago.... either way it'* pretty freakin awesome.

yea, the motor structure is called parthenon
and not for bass? its a motor for a subwoofer. subwoofer = bass
