Careful. Sometimes this is caused by the CD played last not fully retracting back into the cartridge.

Yeah I had to take mine apart ( not powered) there are some gears towards the back in the middle of the unit that can be move via fingers just don't get em pinched. I believe you move them towards the cartridge and that will or should eject it.

Oh good new, the problem is fixed, apparently the cartridge was shoved into the housing rotated 90 degrees, good thing I own the car now, not much gets in the way of my tunage
