Default Yikes! Bonne might be misfiring

Okay, so earlier today my Service Engine light comes, and sadly I dont have a scanner yet. So I decided to take it to the mechanic and see what he had to say about it. Well on the way, at about 70km/h I noticed the car was jerking a little. You know when you rev a car, but it doesnt go right away, then it all of a sudden jerks forward? Thats what it felt like! Like the tranny wanted to drop.

Could it be a misfired cylinder?

Anyways, the car is being looked at tomorrow, its in the garage overnight so its safe.

It could be a lot of things. Misfires will usually be most noticable at idle in gear. The car will run rough and seem to have a choppy idle.

In 4th and with TC lockup, you will feel slight surging and other minor things.

Check your ignition coil towers and clean any corrosion off that you may see. This was causing my engine to throw a "random cylinder misfire" code at me last year. I also agree with the plug/wire check as said above.
