Default Is this window mod possible?

For those of you that have had to work on your rear door window regulators, does it look possible to defeat the "child safety" window limit, i.e. could I modify my rear windows so they would go all the way down? If so, how big of a job would it be? Thanks.

Somewhere this has been discussed here before. The bottom line is that it can't be done. I don't think there is enough room in the door itself for the window to go all the way down.

correct the door is too narrow at the bottom for the window to go down the whole way

you're lucky. The windows in the Bonneville are pretty decent. The windows in the aurora only go down about 4".

Thanks for the info, was mostly just curious. My ego let me believe that nobody else could come up with this topic, sorry about that. I'll try to use the search function next time.

It'* been discussed. Don't know about the 2000+ body but on the 92-99 it'* possible to get a few more inches I think. But then you run into the problem of stopping the window and changing out the motor so it allows the window the additional travel. Too much work for too little result.
