Default Will not start-probably my fault

2003 I just bought had bad front motor mount. Engine was moving enough to pull rubber boot off of airbox. Changed mount and cleaned IAC, MAF and throttle body. Could not get screen (really dirty)out so just irrigated heavy from the inside out. Now it does not start. I must have got carried away with the carb cleaner. If I hold gas pedal to floor it starts and revs so I let off and it just dies. Any thoughts? I am letting it sit right now and charging battery. Damn. Hope I did not mess somehting up

And you don't want to use carb cleaner on the MAF sensor either. There is a different cleaner that'* MAF safe.

I know there are cleaners made specifically for the MAF sensor. I don't think you can use anything else...

Examine the filaments on the MAF to see if they are broken. If they look okay you might try buying a can of MAF cleaning spray and see if it will clean the residue off from the carb cleaner you used. Never use anything other than MAF cleaner for the MAF.

I pulled the MAF sensor and cleaned that with MAF cleaner. I then cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner. I have read post about not spraying the wire in the MAF. Is that true? Seems like that is the reason you would be cleaning it.

You can gently spray the "wires" but don't touch them with Q-tips or the like.

Spray the wires until they are nice and shiny, silver in color.
