Wheel Hub Bearings
OK, so here'* the problem I've been having. I wanted to get my 2000 SLE Bonnie aligned (ront and rear), and a few other problems were found. 1 is tie rods. I figured these were bad, and I have changed other tie rods on other vehicles. Is there anything special about mine, or are they bascially the same as any other vehicle?
Also, I was told that my wheel hub bearings were bad (fronts). I hear a tremendous amount of road noise (especially on freeway), and both my ABS and traction control have not been working for a while. How hard is it to replace the bearings yourself? Are any special tools needed? I am pretty good with cars, so as long as no special tools or skills are required I would like to try it on my own. Has anyone here done this before?
Also, with the bearings, they were replaced approx. 2 years ago. Is it odd that they are bad again after such a short time? The warranty was only for 1 year, so I can't use that. It just seems like they should last a little bit longer than that. The place I took it to is reputable, so I don't think they're trying to scam me. I just want to see if you guys feel the same about my problem.
Thanks for the help.

Replacing the tie rod ends is basically the same as any other. You shouldn't have any trouble doing it if you've done it previously.
Here'* a thread with a link to a "how to" for wheel hub replacement on a Grand Prix. It'* basically the same for the Bonneville.

Some have better luck than others with the hubs and how long they last.
