Got mine off Ebay......seems to be holding up well. For a final check, does the noise come and go while steering side to side like you are warming the tires? That'* what mine did. Mine sounded like a whirring sound......gradually got worse.

I already ordered a new Timken one from Rockauto, with the discount it came to $115, so it was worth the extra money to me. I did only decide to get one for now, If the other one starts going i will just deal with it when that happens.

Got my hub today, and put it with the help of my brother tonight. It took us a while, but neither of us had done anything like it before, plus the bolts were really tight. I found the procedure on here that someone had posted, and It did vary a little bit for the 2000 vs. the 93 that the write was done for, but we figured it out. It fixed the problem, and if the other side ever starts going out I wont hesitate to tackle it again.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, when I was trying to determine if I had the "steel clip" version, I unhooked the WSS and, from then on, it gave me a service stability message, as well as an ABS and trac off light. Do i need to have a tech II to reset those? They are still on after i replaced it, but traction control actually seems to be working, but I didnt really try to spin the tires since I was in town.

Ok so I dont know if anyone even read my last post, but I took it to the dealer today to try to have them reset the SSS code, and he said everytime he would clear it, it would show up again. It was the LF wheel speed sensor, which is the hub that i replaced. Did i get a bad hub or what?

Probably. That is what happened to mine 2 times in a row. Are you sure it is a Timken bearing. Maybe STILL made in China or Taiwan. Do you know?

I Ordered it from RockAuto, and it came in a Timken box, I would think its a timken.

I gotta search for the thread the harofreak was talking about testing the resistance of the WSS, i thought i read something like that before, might be worth checking out.
