Default What mods will improve my gas mileage?

I'm looking to improve my gas mileage. I have a bonestock 2000 SSEi. Any suggestions? I was thinking a K&N air filter or if they have the complete intake than I would go with that.

Thanks in advance

The only intake custom built for the Series 2 is the ADTR. I think some of the first production run are still available. Email hector@angryducktofuracing.com or PM 99BonnevilleSE here on the forum.

That should help by 1-2 mpg. Exhaust will help, too, but it'll tempt you to put your foot in it, and waste those savings for pleasure!

What mileage are you getting?

I'm getting 22 to 23 MPG on the freeway. I drive about 160 to 200 miles a day. Is that normal?

that sounds low. I get between 26-28 mpg(19-20 city) and I also have no mods on my SSEi.

I'm getting 30/31 on the Freeway with my current mods. You've got a problem. How long since your O2 sensor was changed? That'll cause you to run too rich, and they have typically been lasting only 50-60k miles.

BTW, that'* with the cruise set at 60/65, which doesn't happen much

Houston, we have a problem. You should be getting at least 29 in that car. Time to start tinkering, Tutu.

I'm not sure what I get but I've been saving alot of gas lately . I had a custom intake but I rip it off and put back the gutted airbox on . It'* alot quieter. I also have a dynomax mufler and AC delco plugs . I have a light foot right now due to alot of personal issues that I have in my life right now , I can't afford to die in a car accident !I now this is kinda off topic but this has been the only time I felt when I was ready to talk like this . I'm sure Will understands ! Anyway , my car is running great right now and It'* gonna be a B Y
Guys please be careful on the road !
