yeah.. I'm thinking the cable has gone bad.. I'll see what happens when I upgrade the grounds to 1/0 gauge wire. if that doesnt work.. I'll just have to upgrade the wire from the alt to the battery.. Also.. If I were to do the wire upgrade from the alternator to the battery, should I just upgrade that short piece of wire that goes to the fuse box from the alternator? Or should I connect the battery directly too the alternator?

Well.. I fixed my voltage meter going back and forth problem!! I got my 0 gauge cable in and replaced the batterys ground wire and it fixed the problem.. yayyy.. and my headlights don't dim anymore when the bass hits. I also connected a 0 gauge cable from the chassis to the engine... to ground the engine/alternator better
