i just bought a 2000 SSEi with 130k kms on it for $14,500. I got it at an auction. After the safety, commision, financing fees, etc, it came out to $19k something. You could find a better deal else where.

That is true.. Muffin found a really good salesman ( one that doesn't lie ) in a small town that goes to auctions. ( Wish I found him earlier ). Try going through your small town area and ask someone bout car auctions and such.. if they're not willin to tell you their mark up and show your booklets from the auction ( with startin bid price of the cars ) simply go elsewhere.. you'll be amazed that there is actually good honest car salesman out there.. Patience is the key.. ( since a lot of them will try to pressure you to make decisions right then and there. )

I went back to the used car lot, and took another look over the car.
I kept finding minor things that would need fixing, but nothing big enough to get the salesman to move any great deal on his price.

With an interest rate of 7.99%, I'd be paying $531 a month for 60 months.
That'* nearly $32,000 when it'* all done, plus the warranty doesn't last nearly that long on the used car.

I've decided to wait and buy a new Bonneville in a few years. Maybe an 05-06 GXP hehe

In the meantime, I think I'm just going to wait til Oct and get a cheapy 03 Sunfire to drive A <-> B with and in the winter. While my Bonnie sits in the garage, waiting for sunny days.

As a side note, the car I was looking at looks exactly like your Crime of the Century Tamara.... I am very jealous of your new ride. :P
