Trunk Liner Thingy Problem
The liner that is up against the back of the trunk (with the opening from the backseat) keeps falling off. I have used carpet tape but that didnt work long. Any ideas on how to permanently fix this (other than to let it lay where it falls or take it out completely). I didnt see any clips but maybe they were already gone when I bought the car...this has been an issue since I got the car, I just forget about it until I need to use the trunk. lol
The only thing I can come up with for a fix is to use some of those plastic cable ties to hold it to the frame somehow. :?

There should be two magnets attached to that panel. Are the magnets still on the frame section possibly detached from panel? If so, then re-epoxy the magnets to the liner panel.
There is actually a TSB about that. Oddly enough it involves plastic ties
The idea is to basically remove the thing, unscrew the two long narrow things that go towards the back of the vehicle, and take them off, then put the liner back against the back seat and tie with two ties through the holes formerly occupied by the screws holding the long pieces. TSb # 00-080660003A rear Seat Back Trim Loose/Sagging.
they give two solutions- the one above is for 2000-2001, and the second one mentioned by markwb for 2002-2003- reglue the magnets

I'll have to see if there are any magnets stuck anywhere....if not, I'll buy some and glue about 10 on there and maybe it will stay in place.
Thanks for the info!

Yeah, Okay, good deal. Glad you figured it out, and yes, I do remember there are 3 magnets. I haven't looked at mine in a while. I had a similar problem a couple years ago.
