Trunk access through back seat

I know this is trivial but I notice the little door behind the back seat arm rest does not stay shut when the arm rest is down. Does anyone have a picture or part number(s) of the latching device to keep this closed?

not to sound like a tool but did you push the slider back up close the door and let go? i just noticed on mine that it doesn't work like a house door and i couldn't find a part # unless i took it out but it is a whole trim piece not sure of it's full size. but here is the pic

Thanks. I will go look at mine. I am thinking the latch is not there. This site is great.

I hate that little door. It's way too small. My corsica had back seats that flipped down and gave a much bigger opening.

Junkyard would be a good place to look because if I was looking at the diagram right on GM Parts Direct the access hatch is $200. Duct tape is always a quick fix also lol.

That door is only good for a fishing pole. I got a few 2x4s threw it, but that's about it.

There is a good chance I'll be permanently removing that whole door assembly from my car in the next couple months. I'll make sure to put it up on the forum if I do.

Oh how wrong you are. That door is for hockey sticks. Works great.

Well ya, you northerners. You only have ice fishing poles up there and those are real short.
