Im gonna be honest, i dont even know what ones yet. All i can say is my uncle who is a mechanic took a ride with me because the engine seems to shake sometimes. atleast above 3500 rpms.. and we most likely believe its a motor mount. atleast my 1992 did that and the mounts were replaced, problem was solved.
i had a post awhile back about the car shaking and i believe it was suggested to check the mounts. My question is, does this seem odd?? She has 104,000 miles on her. Im the 3rd owner.

I just replaced the front mount on my car. When I took the original one out, it was almost ripped right in half. I thought about taking pictures when I saw it, I wish I would have now. My 2002 had 91,00 miles on it when I took it out. So I would say it'* not impossible for it go bad already.
Does it seem like you get a lot of rock out of the engine? I noticed my CAI hitting my hood when going WOT. That'* why I checked mine.

and it does rock when going from 1st to second gear sometimes, which could be a tranny problem but that was ruled out 2 weeks ago at the last oil change. that could be anywhere between 3000 and higher RPMs

Solved.
Believe it or not it was the front Tranny mount ( thats what GM calls it)
Anyway, i took the thing out of there and the whole thing is worn. I dont believe the difference in driving already. I think it was like that before i bought her.
so yes, it is possible for a 2000+ car to need mounts, $81.49 was the cost.

you know you could have done the solid motor mount mod for around $15, right?
