Default Transmission Gearing

How do I figure out what gearing my car'* transmission has? Is it by Vin #?

Thanks!

I tried to search but came up with no answer to my question.

Go into your trunk, lift up the carpet, and write down all the 3-digit alphanumeric combinations on the tag on your tire cover. Compare with the techinfo RPO code article. Be amazed at all the option combinations you find you have. It will give you final drive ratio, engine code, and more.
