Default Transmission fluid

Hey guys, I was just watching two guys garage on speed channel and they were fixing up a donated car. It had like 109k miles on it and what not. They put it on the lift and saw how the transmission gasket should be replace...So they did that.

So I thought to myself, when are you suppose to change your transmission fluid and filter?? Is it hard to do?

I know since I owned that car I don't believe its been changed..so is it something I should be looking at to do since my car has 119k miles on it?

If you can change your oil, you can change your filter and fluid. Basically loosening a few bolts, let the fluid leak out, take the pan and filter off, change the filter, bolt the pan back up and fill the fluid through the dip stick.
