Default tranny problem

My tranny shifts hard into forth. It just skips that torque converter lock thing, and goes "thud" right into forth. Im affraid something is going to brake eventually. I can sometimes get it to go from 4th to the "halfway lock" and then to third, but its not really easy to do. certainly not with normal driving
Whats the problem
what caused the problem
how to fix
thanks.

4th gear is the TC lockup...

a hard lockup means you can start looking for a new tranny...

how many miles? how does the fluid look?

its very hard to get a trans for a 00 ssei, they can only be from that year

its only got 90. I got no mods, and some old couple owned it, then some dude, then me. I think I got a lemon. Since I bought the car 7months ago.
stability control problem
ABS problem
seat heater went out
truck pop stopped working
"put on gas cap" resulting in a permanent "service engine soon" light. (I bought a new OEM cap
right rear window regulator broke
Check tire pressure always comes on.(tire pressure is fine)
bad charcoal fuel cannester or something
Not to mension, a new tranny apperantlly

Is their some sort of a lemon law and i could get it fixed by the dealer, or turn it in. Seriously. I got the car with 82k on it. It supposedly had their 150 point inspection. What a bunch of crap. Its to bad cause I love the car. I would probly get another one if I could find a deal. Please help!!

I'm not sure you have a lemon..I think a little maintenance could clear up a few things.

Your gas cap and charcoal issues are related. Only one problem most likely.
ABS/air pressure may be related, got a bad wheel bearing? Usually starts to show as a ABS/TC problem.
Seat Heater..fuse or broken element?
Trunk pop... water in the trunk?

Transmission. Has it ever been serviced?

rough shift into fourth could be a pressure solenoid (cheaper)
also have the TPS tested for consistent voltage(also cheaper)
Or the rough shifts are whats left of the forth gear shaft being obliterated (check dipstic for metal, still might not see any because of the magnet in the pan) I would start by dropping the pan and changing filter and fluid and If it just started doing this get it scanned at a dealer or find someone with a tech 2 immeadiately(auto-zones scanner WILL NOT scan for tranny codes even if it does set the SES lite)

Before I lost fourth completely I had a rough shift as well. these are a couple of things people here had me get checked out. I wish you the best of luck as this can ultimately be quite expensive. LIke haro said a 2k tranny is hard to find used (also two part#* listed for 2k tranny) I bit the bullet and ordered gm rebuild cost allot but has 3yr/100,000mi warranty
