I have a 2000 ssei and im on my 3rd trans at 110k miles anything i can do to put a stonger or more longlived trans?

Couple questions...

Did you put in used tranny'*?
What type of regular maintenance did you perform on your transmissions?
Have you check engine and tranny mounts?
What kind of problems are you currently experiencing that makes you believe you need a new or rebuilt one?

yes the last trannys were used. I havent got to the point of maintanance(fluid /filter on install).i thint this trans the torque converter went.it shifts fine but if i give power off start it will let go and grab. while driving its accually ok.this trans has only been in for about 2 months and no problems before this
not to mention the aswome whine! lol

Very odd that you would be going threw that many transmissions. The 4t65e-hd trans is a good transmission. Have the trans tune checked, line pressure, ect.

If you used the old converters, could be taking crap from that?

My condolences on the death of THREE transmissions. (ouch) Were all three the same make and from the same location?

1. What if any mods do you have?
2. Do you have any ABS or traction lights on your dash normally lit?
3. Where are you located and do you have a shop you would trust to put together a performance build for you?

I just got this car about 2 months ago.I have not yet had the oppertunity to mod.Im probably just going for ecm chip and undersize */charger pulley.Any other low buck tricks?!?as for the trans i found a trans shop nearby that will rebuild for $650.Any thing special i should do while i got it out? Shift kit ,t/q,anything.Like i said im new to this car but im open to all wisdom! thanks to all who are helping!!

Oh and i have no lights on at all (check eng. abs,ect)
