My 2000 SSEi has 243,000 miles and Ive only replaced the intermidiate shaft and one of the engine mounts have been broken since around 100k but havent fixed it yet.

Well you could prolly get away with one bad one for a while, but remember even with one bad mount, your engine is now experiencing some play especially when you excelerate. over time that'll just get worse and then eventually you compromise your other mounts.
