Just about anything would be better than the RSAs. If you've been happy with those then all I can say is that euphoria awaits you on your new purchase.

You didn't mention whether you wanted an all season or not, the Dunlops have had good reviews as well as the Yokohamas with Toyos being mentioned too. If you're just looking for a summer tire, I had Bridgestone Potenza RE730s and those things were just glued to the road - wet or dry. They've replaced them with the RE750 and they're piced around $100 US - excellent value!

I have been doing some heavy tire shopping and I have found that Kumho give the best performance for the dollar, I mean 255/50ZR17'* for $111 US is steal from tirerack.com. They always rate top end for performance and handling.

At any rate, be selective and do your homework when shopping for tires.

I put yokohamas on mine. I wasnt quite sure about siping. My next set are going to be Continental SportConti'*. I am a little P.O.ed about not being able to put larger than 18'* on either.

The Michelin Pilot Sport A/T is a very good tire IMO

Nobody recomends them. Havent been able to find wheels that anyone makes for the bonneville that are over 18. Tires and wheels are an odd size. :(

Going over 18" is going to be a HARSH ride, and very poor winter performer. IMO, the 18'* look IDEAL on a 2000+ Bonneville. Bigger than that just doesn't seem right.

What is so wrong about getting 57k miles out of a set of Eagle RSA'*???,...that'* roughly Half of the car'* useful life! I had a '97 Grand Prix GTP and got over 50K out of those RSA'*(rotated them regularly,...always watched air pressures),.....and the '00 SSEI I have now has 40K on the clock...and They are getting down to the wear-bars,(previous owner probably never had them rotated??)).Great tires,IMO,......and I just priced 4 new ones yesterday at a tire shop I buy all of my tires from,......$643 for four 17' RSA'*,mounted,balanced,valve stems, tax included,,and a $10 NYS tire disposal fee,..with the first tire rotation free.

I've put 50-60K on Goodyear Eagle LH'* on previuos Bonnevilles I think getting 57k out of RSA'* is very reasonable.

I get absolutly no traction out of my RSAs and the winter performance is horrid in my opinion. I'm looking at moving to Kumho ECSTA KH11 for the summer and maybe some blizzaks for the winter...
