The latest electrical gremlin involves the tire pressure warning system. First, the "check tire pressure" warning came on a few days ago so I checked the pressures and found they were within 1 psi of each other. Then yesterday, the "tire pressure low" warning came on and in checking, again the pressures were almost evenly matched.
I know this system works by comparing signals from the wheel speed sensors. However, if a wheel speed sensor isn't working properly, wouldn't other things that work off the wheel speed sensors such as the ABS system, traction control and ABS be affected? The traction control light is on as normal and there are no warning sigals for either the ABS or stability control systems.

Doh!!! I totally forgot about the resetting part. I tried it and it has reset for now so I'll keep my fingers crossed. It'* still strange that it came on in the first place.

No, everything'* the same. I drove the car around a little bit and the warning never went off. Maybe it will be like the phantom "recalibrate compass" message that used to come up all the time.
