looking at an 03 ssei, the sunroof appears to sit flat with the roof line in the front and down maybe an 1/8 to 1/4 inch in the rear

is this how this should sit? or is something wrong with the roof? i see no evidence of water damage or anything like that

It should be sitting flush. As long as it dosen't take in water your fine. My 01 started to sag in the back some and eventually took in water, dealer adjusted it back to level for me, took them under 1 hour. thank GM warrenty.
