Upper lumbar?
All of my heated seat elements are in the bottom of the seat.

One on the bottom
one on the lower lumbar
one on the upper lumbar (between shoulders)

The upper elements connect together then to the control module

I don't remember mine being in the back either...all my heat comes from the bottom.

You guys are making me gelous, Heated Seats are teh ONLY option my 01 SSEi didn't have, I miss that from my Aurora. Going to go to a custom interior shop to see what they will charge me for both front heated seat install this week.

I asked my dealership and to get the elments, the switches, and the different center console, they wanted about a grand. I don't think so.

Tried them. It had been so long since I used them that I had forgotten. Right, on low the bottom and on high the bottom and seat back top & bottom. From the looks of this weather, it won't be long they will be needed.

one snow fall so far (didnt stick) and frosty mornings for me, so I'm in winter mode now.

Silver Bullet, are you in Port Alberni? My daughter will be there for the winter games in Feb.(ringette). Would like to compare garage stored with open road if your into it? I'm going to ferry down from Rupert to Port Hardy then up hiway 97 for the full circle.
