Default Struts

I just ordered Monroe Sensatracs to replace the struts on my car. When the parts store looked it up, there was only one listed for all 2000 Bonnevilles. I'm having some buyer'* remorse in that I want to preserve the firm ride of the SSEi and my concern is that the Sensatracs are meant for SEs and their softer ride.
I had KYBs on my Camaro and detested them since it rode like there was a solid connection between the body and the spring connections.
Should I be looking at something different?
