Default Engine turning off

Yesterday i was driving around an all of a sudden my engine just turned off. So i pulled over to the side, and just restarted my car. So i thought no biggie, but then driving for the rest of the day it happened another 3 times. No warning lights are on and all my gauges look fine. I drove it a little today and it didn't happen today. Anyone have an idea of what could be going on. Any info would be appreciated.

Did the service engine light come on?
Check the battery connections and inspect the grounds, both battery and alternator.

Anything else that might help us here......washed the engine bay last week, recently serviced etc?

No service related lights go on at all on the dash, and all the battery stuff still works when it happens, the first time it happened i didn't even realize that the engine turned off because my radio was on, i just figured it was my power steering. but no i haven't cleaned the engine bay recently and it hasn't been in for service. Im taking her to the shop on thursday, so we'll see what they say.

The PCM is located in the air box. Have look in there for the connections and check for moisture and corrosion.
Theres not much that kill the engine without a code. It has to be electrical?

I agree w/ pontiacdad. I had a similar thing happen on my 95' Lesabre. One of the connectors popped off the ECM and wow! engine stopped, no steering, fun!

It could be heat problem if there is no air flow?
Did you get a chance to open the connectors for a look?

k..i just join so im late on the topic, but i have a 2002 SE and one night i was coming home from my g/fs and i was going bout 65mph and my engine just turned off. like
Brian E. stated, my radio was still on.. no warning lights or anything, it was just as if i took the key and turn the car off. it was weird...i pulled over and waited a few seconds look for any warning lights.. nuthin... started right up! i took it in the next day to pontiac and told them.. they tested everthing and said they couldnt find any problems. hasnt happen since that night.. that was like 5-6months ago. i didnt do any mods or service to it. just the normal oil change. weird stuff.... i thought i was the only weird one..thought maybe i was dreamin.. guess not.

I just (3-4 days ago) figured out why mine was doing it and the answer has been said already. Check the battery cables! My + wasen't tight enough. Fixed it and never had another issue.
