Its kind of hard to tell if there is a pulse because, everything is already shaking a little when I go to hit the brakes anyway. I am driving a good distance tomorrow so I am going to pay real close attention for a pulse.

Good timing for your question- I've been having some major vibes and have been laying it on tires out of balance or bad tires. But, I can sometimes reduce the vibration significantly by accelerating. this led me to think worn front end parts.
sometimes it goes away and it'* smooth- it'* almost like I'm getting tires out of phase and it shakes terrible- then it may decline and smooth out and go away.

i too am having these problems but my car is stock..... did anybody notice his avatar picture? if those big ol aftermarket wheels are on his car i guarantee its not helping the situation. we all know these cars are sensitive to every little thing for that dreaded high speed vibration.

I have a 2001 SLE with 220,000 miles on it with the same problem. Sometimes the vibration/shaking is really bad and other times you can hardly notice it. I have replaced a tie rod and the driver side axle. The shaking was causing a load clicking noise which was the loose tie rod moving back and forth while the rest of the front end was shaking. The new tie rod got rid of the noise but the shaking continues. This weekend I will be replacing the passenger side axle. I will let you all know if that helps.

Interesting, everything I would have guessed is brand new... Make sure to let us know when you figure out what'* causing it, I'm quite curious.
If you look at his photo album he has stock Pontiac wheels on, unless he changed them since then.
