[quote="SapphireTorrent"]. Just to warn you though, at the dealer it cost $404.07. Plus they did the EGR Valve Service for $149.00. quote]

What is the EGR Valve Service that they did?

Hmmm clean and adjust

I wonder if they simply removed it, cleaned with carb cleaner..moved the pintle around and used a fresh gasket.

Bill only $90 for labour so they probably did the cleaning and the gasket but not the pintle!

What is a pintle anyways???

The Pintle valve is the only moving/accessible part on the EGR. When you remove the EGR you notice one hole and one piece in a hole. The part taking up the second hole is the pintle. It should be able to be pushed in and out full travel freely and easily.

Replace the mass air flow sensor
That is your problem.
It cost $130.00 with and $80.00 core charge from Autozone.

Also while your at it replace the crank position sensor. It is about $35.00 Autozone.

It made a world of difference with my car. My car would stall out with the same problem as your car. The mass air flow senor is the real issue as to why your car stalled out.

I would say clean the MAF. You can drive just fine without a MAF. I unplugged mine and drove around for a few days without it. The PCM will switch over to the VE table when the MAF isn't working. The crank sensor on the other hand could case problems.
