Default spoiler gasket

I've just noticed the gasket between the spoiler and the trunk is sticking out 1" to 2" ubderneath. ('03 SE) . Is this gonna be a big deal, or can I loosen the bolts slightly and push the gasket back up? I'm afraid to touch it without help from you guys.

I think I have the same problem on the left side.

Something like this?

I would also like to know if anyone has had a similar problem and a possible solution. (Not trying to hijack your thread, just looking for the same solution. )

Mine isn't doing that, either. Here'* a previous link on removal and reinstallation that may help.

Yeah, EXACTLY like that! Same place, in fact. Viewing the other thread, it'* looking like I can't just loosen & lift. I sppose a new gasket is available, but will silicone work just as well?
Nuthin'* ever simple, is it? :?

A new gasket is my suggestion. Silicone always gets messy and ugly looking.
