Default Smoke coming from engine

I have a 2000 pontiac bonneville ssei and every once in a while smoke that smells kind of like burning rubber comes out of the engine area around the front part of the hood. I looked at the engine while it was smoking but could not pinpoint where it was coming from (maybe around where the exhaust pipes start?). What is wrong with my car?

Check the EVAP vacuum lines, they are plastic and are some what close to the exhaust. If they got pushed aside they might be touching.

Can you see any oil that goes from the valve covers down to the exhaust manifold? A thought is maybe you have bad valve cover gaskets. Mine smelt that way a little when they were leaking
