Mine is a Flowmaster. Very good quality even though it is only available in aluminized steel and not stainless. It is 3" in and twin 2 1/2" out but you can go 3" in and twin 3" out like Rod did.
Shadds is twin 2 1/2" also but without any mufflers, just one where the resonator was. It was by far the loudest.

Rods was the deepest sounding but he still had a Cat that would help with the more muted sound. He has the 3" Hooker mufflers.

My 2 1/2" Magnaflow'* were said to sound Ricerish....but I think it just sounds good. There is a slight resonance coming from the air compressor metal cover that resides over the passenger side muffler.
I am thinking of installing a larger volume Resonator to quiet down the part throttle under load drone below 2000 rpm.

Paul has the best pics, so you know what to get.
Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers is what we have
p/n 21505 3" in and out (what we have) or
p/n 21502 2 1/2" in and out. $59 at Jeg'* for the
2 1/2" or the 3" , get the 3" mufflers.
NO RICE SOUND with these mufflers.

did you guys order your Y online? pay something close to this?

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

i think i like rods exhaust the best... are they black rod?
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

$60 each is a lot considering i have to get 2 of them... what about a cheaper option of something like this
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

rod, how did you know to get hooker, or did you just get them hoping they sounded right?

also, ABOUT how much 3" stainless do i need to buy to make it from the back of the cat to the Y?

yes my mufflers are black
on your y pipe get one with 3" in and out if you want to go 3" all the way out
i got my y pipe at the muffler shop.
i have no way of knowing how the Force Pro-Series mufflers sound
i had Hookers on my dragster back in the 70'* and am old school,
dont like the sound of most Flowmaster mufflers. plus i like to think outside
the box (you saw my intake) to be different. i had an idea how Cindy'*
car would sound before i bought them.
if you have more ? give me a call
God this is a lot of typing (hunt and peck) for me.
