Update: Sylvania emailed me back today and have agreed to replace the bulb(*) - all I have to do is wait four to six weeks for delivery. I think I will try again because I really like the look of the bulb, I just don't want to be constantly replacing them.

Does anyone know if "Angel eyes" are available in Canada?

Does the same early burn out problem occur with the SilverStar headlight lamps too? I have been thinking about replacing my headlights with SilverStars, but not if I have to do it again in a few months.

No SS headlights are great, there just seem to be a bad batch of 893'* for the foggers, they were just recently released. otherwise SilverStars are good.
I have SS in all, headlights, brights and H-3'* for the angle eyes, No problems with any of these since they were put in over 7 months ago. Bought the same for both of my parents cars too, and they're all still illuminating brightly.

I used a Nokya replacement bulb in my 94 Bonneville with better than expected results. Bought a pair on eBay for $13.00.

I ran across somthing interesting re the SilverStar 880 driving light bulbs. According to their web site, they're only rated for a 100 hour life. That seems pretty short for a "high-quality"(?) and high-price bulb. That also may explain the frequent DOA complaints.

I contacted AutoBarn for an RMA, they sent me an RMA #, I sent the bad bulb back for replacement. Well, I received the new replacement SilverStar 880 in todays mail. Last night I noticed the left fog light is now burned out. I'm done with the SilverStar 880'*.

My third 880 burned out last night after three weeks! I went to the dealer this morning and bought two OEM light bulbs which I will install tonight. I am also finished with SilverStar...
