Default Side mirror in reverse

OK.. nit picking here.. but I notice that when you put the car in reverse the passenger side on Tamara'* 00 SSEI goes down and shows the curb and crap.. nice.. but unfortunetly goes down too low for me and always have to push it up manually ( via switch not by hand DUH ).. is there anyway you can program that to match your driver memory settings??

Parallel Park Assist Mirror
Check it out. I looked it up in the Owners Manual, and it states that this feature can only be programmed on or off through the DIC personalization programming menu.

Mine always goes back to the preset position.

Didn't Tam give you the "driver 2" key fob to set all your prefences for: seat position, hvac controls, radio stations, equalizer settings, mirror positions and geisha girls?

Anyone know what else you can do in DIC personalization? I don't think mine does that. Previous owner must of had it shut off in the first 18K.

Jim, My 96 Aurora did NOT do this either, must of been shut off too, I knew it was capable just never bothered to re-activate.

Does anyone here actuall use that feature? Much easier to park the ssei than the Aurora. Rear spoiler makes it way easier.

I dont use mine either Taylor, not much parallel parking up here and I can see just fine where the mirrors are.
You can get your name in the dic if you go to a tech2 programmer. Something to ask for when you get a custom pcm too.

I knew about the start up greeting message, can get up to 16 characters, don't know what I'd have it say though. Don't really have a name for my ssei.

Is there anything else you can personalize in the DIC?

Side track here, Charles from DHP found out how to add any engine paramiters to add to the dic in the 04 GP'* he thinks he'll be able to do this for us, as well as get rid of Tourque management.

Yep.. That I got driver 2.. She doesn't have the manual.. so anyone know how to turn it off/on? It will go back to normal once out of reverse.. just reversing it drives me nuts that it goes too low.. I like the idea that it will lower to show you the curb and such.. but if I can't change the preset of how low it goes.. I"d rather have it off I guess.
