Default SC oil Change

I have a 2000 ssei w/ 44k on it, and was wanting to change the sc oil. Does anybody have any suggestions on what oil is the best to use.

Thanks in advance

Craig

Do a search, there is a lot on this subject.

Get the oil from GM (2 bottles). Part number is on other threads not to mention some helpful suggestions on how to get the old out.

Good luck.. Patrick

I was going to use the g.m. oil but have heard from some poeple on a g.m. tech forum that recommended a mobile one oil. Changing it shouldn't be to bad I'm just wanting to know if there is a better oil out there. Thanks for the info Ivory03.

Go with the GM oil. You really shouldn't use anything else.

The only oil that should be used is GM Supercharger Oil P/N 12345982. It'* about 7.00 a bottle at the dealership, You'l need 2 bottles to do a change.

Here'* a link about how it'* done
*/C oil change

no pics though,iit says GP & Regal but,applies to */C 3800'* in general

Don't change it when it is hot. Wait until the engine is cold.

Figured I would wait till about 10:00 to change it. That would give it about 5 hrs. to cool down.

I find it easy to use an old spray bottle. Put the tube in the SC and spray the SC oil into the bottle. Then fill up to the bottom of the threads.

We carry 8oz bottles of SC oil for 9.99.
