I have purchased a 2000 SSEi from an auto auction. Right rear door - no speaker sound. Took off the panel and speaker appears to be in good shape. Speaker attached to the harness. The harness has another plug on the door side - so i checked the harness for speaker pins - to see if there was power. No pins within the harness to couple up to the speaker. Pulled the rubber back between the door and car body. Did not appear to be speaker lead wires there either. Could factory just screwed up? Any one else have this problem? It may have been in a serious accident - but everything appears in good shape. Oh - and how does one get that rubber boot back on the car body side. What a pain.

When I bought our 2001 ssei bonnie they forgot to install the Drivers side front speaker. So, It could be a factory, friday afternoon issue. Might try a local dealer. We were able to have our local Pontiac Dealer install the speaker, even though we never knew it was missing after the warranty had run out.
