Default Rear windows?

Does anyone know if you can change the hieght of the rear windows? On our 2000 Bonne'* the rear window only go down half the way. I realize that it is for child safety, but I'm usually sitting in the back with our son when the window lock is off. My husband is waiting for the "magical books" to come in, but this is driving me nuts. :?

Default um

You sure theres room for the window to go down all the way? I rented a 02 yukon a month ago (just to drive to the lake) and I noticed the rear passanger windows dont go down all the way.. then I realized theres a 6'' speaker in the door..

Similar problem on my 96, but if you actually look at the shape of the door, the wheel well cutout prevents the window from going down all the way--unless of course you want to just break a part of the window out--probably increase your road noise though

since they no longer make cars like the used to (like the big *** Ford Country Squire) the wheels are so close to the doors that the shape has changed
