Default Question about using platinum plugs .......

I've seen a few of you suggest NOT to use platinum plugs in these. Unfortunately, I didn't join the forum until AFTER I put ACDELCO platinum plugs and all new wires in my '00 SSEI. I always used plat. plugs in my '97 Regal GS which also had a scharger and it ran great: so what'* the deal?

They tend to not last long or do well under the pressures we run. Copper is the best you can use and they are real cheep. About $1.79 each for AC delco.

also platinum plugs burn real hot. they have a tendency to melt pistons if your in the throttle too much.
