I have found oil and coolant from the LIM bolts in that area. The best way to find out whether it'* the valve cover gasket or LIM bolts seeping is to clean it. Then keep an eye on where the oil begins. That'* where your leak is located.

Heck..oil in that spot could even be from an oil change refill gone bad.

I noticed i forgot to update everyone on this issue. Took the valve cover off last week and swapped the gasket. I didnt notice any visible damage to the original one but i will say it took little to no effort for me to loosen the bolts of the cover itself. Im not sure if thats normal but i can see how that could have been the source of my leak. Anyways, i swapped the gasket, bolted everything back down to spec, and after a week and a fresh oil change, no more leak, no more burning oil smell.

Good to hear you got it. The gasket simply broke down over time and started leaking.
