Just to give an update on what I ended up finding. The new plugs and wires got it back to where it was - an intermittent issue, but the test drives pretty much took their toll. It seems it was the transmission slipping. It'* now doing it more pronounced and at lower rpm. It'* not too surprising, but kinda disappointing. I was expecting to get to 200k and still have a tranny since I do filter swaps every 12 months. I picked up a 2000 Se with 57k to use as the new daily driver. Probably drive it until I can find another ssei since I have a decent parts car.
