Default performance, muffler sounds

I have a 2000 SSEI and drive in 6000 ft altitude and did all the obvious mods like 3.4 pulley, 180 stat, etc.
I heard someone talking about making his sound like a V8. That would be awesome to make it sound like my 68 Firebird 400. The only thing I don't like about my SSEI is they sound to quiet through the exhaust. Any suggestions on how to make it sound a little gutsier (like a V8) without having excesive vibration inside and get a little more added hp?
Thanks

A stock F body Muffler will fit, and should help some. As far as the Dynomax and Flowmaster are concerned, they're totally different sounds. It'* gonna have to be personal preference. A couple guys have audio clips of theirs. I know Hector does, I think SSEi95 does. Allmachtige, too.

You could start by trashing the catalytic converter and installing a set of headers. Leave the resonator in and install a pair of Borla mufflers.
No matter what you do, it won't sound like a V8, just a gutsy V6.

Now that is not entirely true. If you have ever heard Scott Cooks SSEi, and you didn't know what was under the hood, you could easily mistake it for a V8. But without doing major engine work, it will never sound like a V8.

With a good cam, you can come close. Close enough to fool MOST. Not all.
